It's rare yes I agree. It has been throughout all of history and it's still in our generation. Don't be so naive as to think it existed more in the past, though many personal experiences have led many to believe that in this day and age there is no such thing as love. That's only because people are more interested in looks and money or benefits of being love than the purity of love. It doesn't have to be 'love at first sight', but somewhere, somehow, True love(like you said) exists for all of us. I believe that even if we are not able to recognize it sometimes, it shows itself one day and we are left saying, Woooow!!! so this is what I was waiting for? this is it! The day we realize this feeling, you know that you are in love.
